Monkey and River was subcontracted by marketing agency The Cheese Has Moved to design and develop a new website for Fedhealth, one of South Africa’s largest medical aid schemes, targeting younger individuals.

I served as lead developer, using WordPress, Elementor, custom PHP, performance analytics, Yoast SEO, API integrations, custom form logic, LMS integration, and dynamic/custom post types.

The project aimed to implement a CMS that allowed easy content management, improve lead capture and website performance, retain viewership, organize medical aid information, ensure scalability, and deliver a responsive, custom design.

Key challenges included organizing complex information with custom post types, creating custom Elementor loops and components, integrating APIs and custom plugins, ensuring responsiveness and SEO best practices, coordinating with a large stakeholder team, meeting tight timelines, and migrating a large website.
The final website was fully responsive, visually aligned with design specifications, improved lead capture and viewer retention, and integrated an external LMS to enable smooth content management.
Fedhealth experienced increased sales for their target market, and Monkey and River secured two additional custom app projects. The collaboration continues to maintain strong client relations with The Cheese Has Moved and Fedhealth
Let’s Talk
I really appreciate it. I’ll be in touch soon. Just need about 24 hours to go over the data, do some calculations, and put together a solid plan. I want to make sure everything is spot-on before I get back to you. Thanks again!
