Wellaware
Wellaware is an online wellness counselling practice offering mental health support to people in South Africa. I designed and developed the website from the ground up, with full creative scope.
Role
I custom-designed and developed the site using WordPress, Yoast SEO, Elementor, WooCommerce, Payfast, and Google Calendar.
Objective
This passion project allowed me to push the boundaries of my technical skills while delivering a platform that met my wife’s very high expectations.
Challenges
My wife was my toughest client — demanding, uncompromising, and not always practical. To meet her standards (and keep the peace at home), I used a data-driven approach to resolve differences and deliver results.
Features
The website included complex custom solutions, particularly in booking systems and calendar integrations, delivering a seamless client experience.
Outcome
The project successfully launched a new business, created job opportunities for counsellors, and kept my wife in the marriage — so I must have done something right.
